SCHOOL NURSES

I am delighted to advise that I have appointed two school nurses to join the staff of St Peter's in 2025, Daniella Kalinowski and Ruby De Luca.

Daniella and Ruby applied for the position of St Peter's school nurse as a team with Daniella to work Monday and Tuesday and Ruby to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Daniella and Ruby have worked together at the Royal Children's hospital and bring with them extensive nursing experience with children. Ruby and Daniella will be commencing the week of Monday, 20th January to ensure that we are set up for the start of the 2025 school year. They will work from 10:30am to 3:00pm each day.

NEW PRINCIPAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The new Principal for St Peter’s has been chosen. An announcement will be made this week with all St Peter’s families advised in a separate email. Their first official day will be Tuesday, 28th January.

OVAL UPDATE 

Grass was laid on our new oval on Friday. It will not open for use until next year. Our Year Six students were given the opportunity to be on the oval for an official photo before they finished for the year. Details of an official opening will be sent next year.

OUT OF OFFICE STAFF

All staff will set up out of office on their emails from 12:00pm Wednesday, 18th  December unless they are part time staff and in those circumstances their out of office will be from 4:00pm on their  last day of work. Staff will be accessing their emails again from 8:00am on their first official day back at school next year which for most staff will be Tuesday, 28th January. 

OUT OF OFFICE PRINCIPAL

My out of office message will come into effect from 4:00pm on Friday,  20th  December until Monday, 21st January. My message advises that I will be checking my emails every 48 to 72 hours and I will respond to any urgent emails. My last official day is Friday, 24th January. I will be at school that week only if required by the new principal.

UNIFORM IN TERM ONE 2025

Towards the end of this term students have been wearing a range of different socks at different times. When we return for 2025 the following uniform will be required.

Sports Uniform - White socks (not black socks even though that is a trend)

Grey Summer Uniform - Grey socks (not black or white socks)

Green Checked Uniform - White socks

BEGINNING OF 2025 SCHOOL YEAR

To assist in your planning for your families I can advise that the first day for students at St Peter’s in 2025 will be Thursday, 30th January. All students Foundation to Year Six will start on that day.

FINISH OF SCHOOL TOMORROW 17th DECEMBER

For students attending school tomorrow the day will end at the normal dismissal time of 3:20pm.
