WELCOME BACK
Drone footage from this morning
Having all students back at school today was wonderful. Everyone has been amazing as we all worked through unprecedented times and we are now very excited to be returning to some form of normality. Our students were welcomed back with balloons at each entrance point. The students returned to bright colours to remind them that they are the bright colours that brighten the lives of our staff. Our thanks to our Parents and Friends for organising this bright start back.
GOOD NEWS
I am delighted to advise that Mrs Kye Moore, who was the 3GM teacher on a Friday and began parental leave during the COVID period, welcomed a baby boy Levi Jay on Friday. Mother, baby and even father are doing well. Mrs Cathy Epstein who works as Numeracy leader at St Peter’s will now also be teaching 3GM on a Friday for the remainder of the year.
TRAGIC LOCAL NEWS
You may have heard over the weekend that there was a house fire at Tyaak, near Broadford. Two adults and a six year old boy were killed and other members of the two families are in hospital. The six year old boy was a student at Coatesville Primary School and one of the men who died was his father. The boy was in Year One and went to Centre Road Kindergarten in 2018 so would be known by some of our students and families. I have reached out to the Principal of Coatesville and the Director of Centre Rd Kindergarten on behalf of our community offering our assistance. Please keep this family and their communities in your prayers.
THANK YOU TO ESSENTIAL SERVICE WORKERS
The display we have on our front balcony is to acknowledge the work of our Essential Service workers throughout this COVID period. Thank you to Cate Sanders our Visual Arts Teacher for organising this thank you message from our St Peter’s Community.
CLASSROOM REFURBISHMENT STAGE ONE COMPLETED
Stage one of our Senior School building refurbishment is completed and it was wonderful to see our Year Six students and the students from 5FJ in their new learning spaces.
SCHOOL OFFICE STILL OPEN
While we are restricted in the number of parents and visitors we can have on site the front office is still open for up to five adults at a time if you need to drop children off late or pick up children early. It is also open for any other reasons you may have to visit.
