WELCOME BACK
As we begin Term Two I would like to again thank you for your support during the first term of what has been a relatively normal school year. I know not everyone finds the school holidays restful and for many families it creates many challenges. I do hope that the Easter weekend was a break for most of you. There are no longer any school terms that are quiet and the staff of St Peter’s look forward to working together with you in another busy term to ensure we stay focussed on the learning of our students and the strength of our community.
WHOLE SCHOOL MASS
For the first time since COVID hit us last year we are able to gather for a whole school Mass to celebrate the beginning of this term at 10:00am this Friday, 23rd April. It will also be the first Mass for our Foundation students. All families are invited to attend. The front car park will not be open for parking.
UNIFORM
School Hats - UV is still around
It may be grey and cold and rainy right now but UV radiation levels can still be high and damaging. For this reason we will be asking students to keep their hats at school until the end of April. We will check the free SunSmart app for daily sun protection times and UV levels and have students wear hats as required.
Transition to Winter Uniform
The move from Summer Uniform to Winter Uniform takes place over the next two weeks. What your children wear is up to you and will be dependent on weather, ability to purchase Winter Uniform and your wishes. I have been made aware that some sizes are not available through our Uniform supplier, PSW. If that is the case then obviously whatever alternatives you can manage will be fine. The date for all students to be in Winter Uniform is Monday, 3rd May. A given is that Sports Uniform requires white socks not any other colour.
