FOOTY COLOURS DAY
Today, Monday, 12th September, St. Peter's had a Footy Colours Day. Everyone wore footy jerseys and scarves. At 10:30am we had an AFL Team Parade. We went out to Casey and team by team we walked around the soccer fields. Mr. Mac was very enthusiastic at introducing the teams while Mr.Joplin played the theme songs. Everyone was excited and cheered really loud even for other teams. Some children carried flags or pillows with their team logo. Every team had at least one supporter which was great but the teams that had huge crowds were: Collingwood, Hawthorn, Richmond and Carlton. We had a sausage sizzle at lunch time that was cooked by the parents. We thank Mr. Mac and Mr. Hanney for organising this fun day and hope we can have it again next year.
FATHER’s Day Thankyou
Breakfast
A huge thankyou to the Parents and Friends team led by Martha Pavlou (Hugo 1GP) for ensuring the Father’s Day Breakfast went ahead and was enjoyed by over 500 guests.
Stall
Angie Leontaritis, (Anya 5BR and Nikita 2AC) and her team did an amazing job in organising and running the Father’s Day Stall for our students to be able to purchase gifts for their Dads for Father’s Day.
FAREWELL
We wish the Bryant Family all the best as they move to a new state and the Coleman Family as they move to a new home for Term Four. It is a sad time for St Peter’s and especially the classmates and teachers of Jemimah Bryant (2AC) Gideon Bryant (FSH) and Evie Coleman (1GP) but an exciting time for their families.

MATHS GAME DAY AT GENAZZANO COLLEGE
I enjoyed my time at the Maths Games Day. There were 3 rounds, the first being problem solving, the second was playing a maths game against another group and the third was puzzles. I worked along with my group, The Double Digits, including Chelsea, Alice, Grayson and myself. We didn’t come first but we had a good time.

On Thursday, 1st September, 50 students from Year 6 went on an excursion to the Melbourne Writers Festival at the State Library! With a bit of unexpected confusion at first, we made it to the right place in the end.
At the Writers Festival we encountered some amazing authors such as Kirli Saunders, Gabrielle Wang and the one and only Eddie Woo! Each one told us about their books, the reason behind it and their life stories.
Each and every person got a chance to buy a book and get it signed by the authors. Luckily if you didn't have the chance to buy one, a few teachers had thoughtfully bought some for their class and the library. It was a great experience and we thank all the teachers and staff that came along and put in the effort to bring us to this epic event.
