WELCOME RETURNING FAMILY
In 2022 we were very sad when Michaela and Ethan Lee and their family moved house and started at new schools. I am very excited to advise that Michaela, Ethan, their younger sister Jessica and parents Andrew and Joanna have returned to the St Peter’s community. Michaela will be joining the 5HG class, Ethan will be in 3EM and Jessica in FHK. Welcome home Lee family!
FAREWELL SARAH CROUGH
As I advised in the last newsletter Sarah Crough has been working as a Learning Support Officer at St Peter's for the last twelve months. Now that she has finished her teaching degree she will be moving into a teaching role in another school. Sarah’s last day at St Peter’s will be Friday, 28th July. We wish Sarah all the best as she begins a very exciting and rewarding career as a teacher.
SAVE THE DATE
The annual St Peter’s versus St Paul’s Dad’s Football Match will be held on Saturday, 2nd September. It is such a huge event that the AFL have a bye this weekend to ensure no impact on crowds at their games.! Put the date in your diary as St Peter’s attempts to win its 4th game in a row.
We would love to welcome all Dads to come down and join a great bunch of guys for our yearly football match, against St Paul’s Primary.
The event has created a strong rivalry, and has become a great annual tradition for the school communities.
The match is scheduled for the 2nd of September, at Centenary Park.
Training sessions for the match have commenced, and are held each Sunday afternoon at 4.00pm at Centenary Park.
All Dads welcome, and we would love to see you get involved in this extremely fun and family friendly event.

We played 4 games against Lauriston, Loretto, Oakleigh South and Elsternwick. In the first two games we tried our best but unfortunately came a bit short. But after a lot of determination, hard work and an amazing speech from our captain Sid, we managed to end our last two games with a big win! Overall coming 3rd for the day!
Thank you to Mr Cav for being an amazing coach and to the parents for supporting us.

St Peter's P&F Care Packs
Building on the strong sense of community we have here at St Peter's we made a call out to families for suggestions and ideas to help families who are in need of some extra support.
Thank you to those who responded. Look out for further communications shortly.
A GREAT INITIATIVE
In lieu of a Parents’ Night Out, Year 3 mum Kay Papworth (Maya 3EM) decided to tie in an activity to ‘give back’ to our community. Rounding up some fellow Year 3 mums, we headed down to Moorleigh Community Centre on Thursday night to help cook up a storm as part of the ‘Soup Angel’, an initiative started during Covid by a Glen Eira local and teacher Nicole Lewis-Jacobs.
After some chopping, chatting and laughter, 129 containers of various soups were prepared and packed, ready to be distributed to local refuge centres, homeless shelters and anyone doing it tough, the reason for it coming to fruition. All produce and stock are donated and it is run by volunteers. We all had a wonderful time and we couldn’t believe how easy and laid-back it all was. If you are keen on helping out, or gathering a group of your fellow parents, help is always welcome!
